Remember what happens on a game show when the announcer with the big voice says,  “you’ve won a newwww washer and dryer!!!!”  The contestant jumps and screams and claps wildly. We see that sometimes at Mission Joplin but more often we see tears. We keep a list of needs that we aren’t able to immediately meet and when we call and say, “We found a good used stove for you” sometimes people bawl. In the last two days we’ve been able to give away a stove, a freezer, two fridges, and a cool mist humidifier for a six month old baby. Our updated list of things people are still waiting for includes:
10 washers and dryers
3 refrigerators
1 Stoves
1 Toddler bed
6 dressers
1 bassinet
5 couches
5 kitchen table and chair sets
